About Hooker

One of the brands under Holley, Hooker is the winningest header manufacturer in automotive drag racing history. Since 1962, the company has been committed to providing exhaust solutions for both drag racers and everyday drivers. Gary Hooker, the founder of the company, designed the first header for his 409 Chevrolet. The popularity of this item amongst drivers led to the creation of Hookers show located in South Ontario, CA. 

The company offers an extensive collection of headers, mufflers, exhaust accessories, torque converters and more on the market. During 1970/80’s Hooker was manufacturing products such as skateboards, skis, wheels, and more, leading to the launch of more ‘none-race’ exhaust and header applications for vehicles such as trucks.  

Though expanding into the non-racing industry, Hooker is still known for its racing heritage due to its products being on more race winners than any other company. During the golden era of the racing industry, Hooker rocked the racing scene with almost all NHRA Pro Stock racing winnings. The company's glass pack mufflers, famous as the 'Hookermuffler' was also released at the beginning of the '70s. Despite its winning history, the company doesn’t rest on its laurels leading the way in technology and design with various Hooker exhaust products for late and early vehicles.

During the start of the ’90s, the company introduced the metallic ceramic thermal barrier coating for its headers. This new finish defuses the heat giving the header additional service life and is now the most popular feature today. In addition to this, the company also brought to the market the Aerochamber Muffler.
