There’s a price on the Baby McLaren… and hey that seems reasonable.

The pricing for the 2016 McLaren 570S has been revealed, and this new “entry-level” model is set to arrive with a price tag of $184,900. The car is supposed to lead the more affordable models of the Sports Series of cars from McLaren, the British manufacturer of supercars. But even this price tag can be high for standard buyers, and if you really wish to buy this “lower-priced” 2-seater sports car you should start saving money from now on.

The 570S draws power from a 3.8 L, twin-turbo V8 engine which produces a commanding torque of 443 pound-feet and a maximum power of 562 hp. The engine is coupled with a 7-speed automated dual-clutch manual transmission gearbox. The vehicle lets you attain a maximum speed of 204 mph and an acceleration of 100 kmph or 62 mph from standstill in only a matter of 3.2 seconds.

The sports car is expected to lock horns with the likes of Porsche 911 Turbo, Audi R8 and Mercedes-AMG GT among other performance oriented vehicles. McLaren Automotive CEO Mike Flewitt stated that the new Sports Series “is aimed at a new audience for McLaren,” and further added that “It’s the first time we’ve competed in the sports car as opposed to the supercar market.” Naturally, a lot seems to ride on the 570S and McLaren is possibly very keen about its success.

It is possible that the demand for this vehicle is going to exceed the supply. If you are enthusiastic about buying the sports car, it is advised that you get place your orders as fast as you can. At present, there are as many as fourteen dealerships of McLaren in the United States, which include McLaren Dallas in Texas and McLaren Atlanta in Georgia.

McLaren also has good news for buyers who feel that they cannot afford the vehicle with a price tag of $184,900, and has also launched a more affordable version of the 570 S in the form of the 540C. That one is likely to come at a price tag of about £126,000, and the price has not been yet revealed in dollars.
