In today’s age, hybrid sports cars and powered supercars are gaining fame and popularity all over the world. In fact, considering their increasing popularity and demand, it can be assumed that in the near future most of the cars will be electric and that includes high performance sports cars too. There are many notable examples of high performance electric sports cars in the market, and another one is soon to join the team. All electric supercar boasts 800hp
 

The automobile manufacturer is said to be based in Sicily. Although not a famous company, Tecnica is harboring big dreams. Currently they are planning to build an all-electric supercar that they are calling Lavinia. The special design of the car is expected to produce 800 horsepower, and it will supposedly be able to hit the speed of 60 mph in just a matter of 3.5 seconds. The automaker also plans on giving the car’s electric motors the capacity to run the car at 187 mph. The long distance range of this super car is expected to be 180 miles per charge. Considering this car is an EV (electric vehicle), these claims sound to be rather far-fetched. But the company seems to be confident in its abilities to produce an electric sports car that offers such great speed and performance.

 

Although these numbers sound quite impressive, pulling the task off would be a big deal, the company’s biggest challenge will be creating a market for this electric charged supercars. There are many factors that can come in the way of business for this electric car maker. First and foremost, the general public is not that well aware of electric cars. Secondly, these supercars tend to be quite high priced and targeted towards the upmarket. That is why not accessible to the masses. Finding the customers, determining a reasonable price and finding financial stability for the company’s success will be some of the biggest challenges.

 

At this point, the company’s focus is on creating a somewhat functional model for the car’s initial release in 2015. Not much time is left, so there is a lot that Tecnica has to do.
