A latest report indicates that the Mazdaspeed3 concept car will be showcased by its manufacturer concept at the 2015 Frankfurt Motor Show this autumn. This amazing hatchback will possibly come in the middle of 2016.

The vehicle is set to draw its power from a turbocharged 2.5 L, 4-cylinder engine which is able to produce a peak power of about 300 hp. The vehicle will possibly be an all-wheel drive, as has been rumored for quite some time now. The same engine is set to come in next-generation CX-9 crossover that is rumored to make its debut in November at the 2015 Los Angeles Auto Show.

The Mazdaspeed3 is also referred to as MPS in some of the other markets. It will not lock horns with the likes of the Volkswagen Golf GTI or the Ford Focus ST, which are more mainstream offerings. Instead it will be up against Subaru WRX STI, Golf R and Focus RS. Although there has not been any official word on its price, it can be expected to come with a price tag higher than 35,000 USD.

The Mazdaspeed3 shows that Mazda, the reputed Japanese auto manufacturer, wishes to put more money on more Mazdaspeed line of vehicles. So you can expect the car maker to come with higher versions of the Mazdaspeed car in the upcoming years. Now this will be something that would surely appeal to car lovers who like their sports cars to be lookers as well as able performers.

According to the same report, sports car lovers can also see a revamped version of the Mazda CX-9 in November at the Auto Show in Los Angeles. It is possible that the CX-7 nameplate could even come up. However, this vehicle will come with 3 seating rows unlike its predecessor, which was substituted in 2013 by the CX-5.
