Hyundai Reveals “Vision G” Coupe Concept

Is This The Future of Hyundai?

Here is what the future of Hyundai could resemble. That’s right, a 2-door luxury coupe with a V8 power plant, and handles that aren’t attached to the doors.

It’s a new benchmark for the Korean auto maker,

Hyundai revealed these stunning concept photos of the “Vision G.” Looks like a British-Korean Chimera, like a Bently and a Jaguar were stitched together with a Sonata and an Optima. For all intents and purposes we’ve got Hyundai’s attempt at becoming the Korean Lexus. It’s said to be powered by their award-winning 5.0L Tau V8 engine, and if you think a long nose and a five litre V8 sounds a little American then you’d be on the right track.

The concept was designed with coordinated input from Hyundai design studios around the world, but was led by our team here in the U.S.

Straight from the President and Chief Design Officer’s mouth. This is a big Hyundai for big people, with big American dreams. Design focus appears to be primarily on the interior, which as you’ll see in out 22 image gallery, is very swanky. So what do you think? Would you pre-order one of these? Is this a luxury car or a muscle car? Can it be both? *gasp* Is this the next Buick Grand National?! I’m giddy…
