Spiders are going homeless across North America
Ever have a nest of spiders in your car? If you have then this news may calm your mind at night, if you haven’t then sorry about the future paranoia I may be about to cause you.
So apparently Yellow Sac spiders or Cheiracanthium Mildei have a propensity for making a home out of your fuel vapour lines. This problem has apparently reached a point where auto manufacturers have begun engineering ways to keep the spiders out. In comes Ford with its crack team of anti-spider specialists, and they come out with a slotted piece of plastic and a cheesy graphic, check it out.
And there you have it, no more spider nests in Fords, aren’t you happy? The tech is slated to debut in the upcoming 2016 Focus RS, but expect it to web its way down through the rest of the product line. Are you now terrified of spiders nesting in your car? How do spiders react to winter car-homes? Does this new thing even apply to Canadian clients? So many new questions, so many new creepy nightmares. This tickle at the bottom of your foot that now causes you to freak and swerve into oncoming traffic brought to you by Ford.
