Floating Fiats Featured at US Open of Surfing

Fiats floating in the sea

Check out Fiat’s very James-Bondian way to advertise at the Vans US Open of Surfing

For the third year running, Fiat has sponsored the Vans US Open of Surfing

This year is particularly cute (how else can you describe the Fiat 500? Adoreable?). They’ve got these floating replicas called Fiat-skis, modified jetskis which zip around and I assume frighten away sharks?

BWOOSH! Surf’s up, dude. How useful are the wipers on this thing?

We’ve heard of jet-skis towing surfers far out into the sea, so they can catch those three-story-tall monsters, will these little guys find their way into the deep sea? What kind of tires do you put on these things? Are water-tires destined to be the new must-have technology? How much of a death-trap are these things if they roll over? So many unanswered questions for Fiat’s marketing department.

Anyways if you want to know more about the US Open of Surfing, check out their site.

What do you think? Would you ever whip a Fiat-ski around Lake Winnipeg? What about the St. Laurence River? Maybe Crotch Lake? (tee hee)
