A Look Into Audi’s Electric Future

Audi's Electric Future

Audi is showing off its latest electric concepts in the International Motor Show (IAA) in Frankfurt. The biggest news maker is their planned SUV.

Audi is poised to make a huge statement about the future of electric vehicles.

As the Frankfurt International Motorshow or IAA (Internationale Automobil-Ausstellung) approaches, the German powerhouse manufacturers begin to trickle out teasers for their exhibitions. This year, Audi intends to shock the world with their innovative electric designs.

The latest press release seems to indicate that the heavy hitter this year will be their E-Tron Quattro SUV concept, something along the lines of  a Q5 or Q7, but fully electric with a 500km range. That sounds just lovely for those of us in Ottawa who love to take the family camping in Algonquin Park, or even the occasional road trip to Toronto. Looks like the upcoming Tesla Model-X will have some serious competition.

To complement the little news-tease, they’ve released some quaint concept sketches and renders. Have a look in the below gallery and let us know if you’d be interested in a fully-electric Audi. Maybe you’ll be seeing them on the streets on Winnipeg, silently beaming wealth out of their nifty little vents.
