Volkswagen was first introduced in United States of America in 1949. The company was able to sell only two units during the first year. It began to pick up sales with time. Volkswagen entered in America with the name Victory Wagon and later it changed to Volkswagen of America. Volkswagen penetrated Canadian market in July 1952 with the introduction of model 11C, 11GS, A-M5`, 21A, 23A, 22A, and an ambulance.
