About Mazda Tires
Mazda is for Mazda Motor Corporation. It is a Japanese based automotive manufacturer. The company is headquartered in Fuchu, Aki District, Hiroshima Prefecture, Japan. The foundation of the company was laid by Jujiro Matsuda. The company started its venture as Toyo Cork Kogyo Co., Ltd. in Japan in 1920. The company was then named as Toyo Kogyo Co., Ltd. in 1927.
Toyo Kogyo was earlier in to manufacturing of machine tools. It began manufacturing vehicles in 1931. Mazda’s first automobile that was ever introduced to the market was Mazda-Go.
Mazda went through a lot of brand logo changes. Mazda is active in playing its part in creation of Environmental friendly vehicle. Mazda has been conducting research for more than a decade on hydrogen-powered vehicles. In 2010 Toyota and Mazda announced a supply agreement for the hybrid technology used in Toyota’s Prius model.
Mazda has its own track of success attained with its signature Wankel-engine cars (in two-rotor, three rotor and four-rotor forms) as well as its piston-engine models. Mazda has been sponsor to lot of professional sports team that includes Hiroshima Toyo Carp (Nippon Professional Baseball), Sanfrecce Hiroshima (J. League), North Melbourne Football Club (Australian Football League), ACF Fiorentina (Italian Football League- Serie A) and more.
