Toyota 86 Style Cb Edition Revealed for Japan

The Japanese auto manufacturers Toyota and Subaru have proclaimed some small updates to the jointly produced sports car from their stable – intended for the local market. The Toyota 86 (referred to as the Scion FR-S in Japan) as well as the Subaru BRZ is coming with an upgraded version of the electric power steering system and also a revised suspension. With the 86-Style Cb edition (the “Cb” of the Toyota 86-Style Cb Edition actually means Cool Beauty), Toyota is actually offering a unique restyling to its consumers.

Its dashboard and center console comes with a wood grain finish. Its leather-covered steering wheel sports the official Cb emblem. There are also white needles on its instrument cluster.

The specs beneath the hood of the Toyota 86-Style Cb Edition are much the same. The vehicle still has the same 2.0-liter naturally-aspirated flat-four engine which is mated with 6-speed manual transmission or optional 6-speed AMT gearboxes and can produce a maximum power of 200hp. The Toyota 86-Style Cb Edition comes in as many as 5 exterior colors, which include 2 dual-tone schemes which blend Demitasse Brown and Nuance Beige.

According to Toyota, “fashion sense” is the greatest thing about the 86-Cb edition. The model will not come with any changes beneath its hood. The front part is where the maximum change can be spotted. The fascia is nipped and tucked and come with a softer appearance, courtesy the round headlights. The grille is cut through by an LED strip. The lower bumper of the Toyota 86-Style Cb Edition also doubles as turn signals and daytime accents. The front fender of the car consists of triple fin accents which are LED-illuminated.
