Volvo is rolling out a new Lifetime Warranty for parts and labour on all models. Are they poised to become the Black and Decker of cars?

The warranty game just got blackjacked,

Looks like Volvo is poised to change the way manufacturers think about warranties. Here’s what Scott Doering, Vice President of Customer Service, Volvo Cars of North America had to say.

“We look forward to redefining the way manufacturers service and support their vehicles … the lifetime parts and labor warranty is a best in class offer from a luxury automaker.”

That’s right, LIFETIME, as in the time of an entire life. That is a ton of time, especially cars that are notorious for being as durable as a battle-tank.

Pay once and never pay again? I wonder if they understand the concept of Canadian potholes. Let’s see if this program gets extended into Canada, something tells us the guy who thought this up was not familiar with things like, Montreal construction, or Ottawa sinkholes.
