It was definitely one of the biggest newsmakers of the Frankfurt Motor Show (IAA). Was that because the VW CEO didn’t pass out on stage? Possibly. Either way Bugatti’s concept entry for the upcoming Gran Turismo game looks elegant and also like it could melt your face right off.

It’s dropping jaws on a global scale.

Certainly the biggest news from VW was the reveal of the Bugatti Vision Gran Turismo concept. It’s threatened to eclipse even the Porsche Mission E concept which was also stunning. It’s said to be a major hint at the upcoming Chiron, and features some aero tech that might just make it really competitive should we see one compete at LeMans. Bugatti’s eagerness to remind people of WEC competition could be seen through the design which is meant to hommage their LeMans wins back in the days of Boardwalk Empire. Henry Catchpole of Evo Magazine does a good job of explaining how Bugatti plans to achieve next level downforce.

What will stick with you is the brilliant details, especially that steering “wheel” that looks more like it could double as a PS Vita.
