From their humble beginnings as one of the first tire manufacturers from the Czech Republic, to their joint venture with Continental Tire, Barum’s story is rich and about dedication to the craft. Barum was founded in the 1940s by the founders of the Bata shoe dynasty, as a way for the Czech national company to overcome new challenges in the rubber industry. Barum’s mission was to build a tire that was durable, powerful and above all affordable, a tradition they continue to uphold to this very day.

Barum’s knowledge of the winter months has allowed them to produce their Polaris line of tires, a well reviewed and amazingly priced winter tire meaning they will be perfect or our thought Canadian winters.
